Hey, I'm happy you're here ...

I grew up in Nairobi, Kenya, in a home where our values were based on faith, family & culture. My upbringing shaped my worldview, how I connect with people & how I navigate life.

As a curious little girl, I started to learn about my culture through food; watching my mom & other women around me cook, bake & care for our home. I was fascinated by how culture shapes identity, how different people live & the ways we find connection through shared experiences.

After high school, I pursued a more ‘traditional’ academic path, but after a year, I felt a strong pull to pursue my passion. With a leap of faith & the support of my parents, I switched gears and enrolled in culinary school, eventually spending nearly eight years in the hospitality industry. A journey that led me to the U.S. where I now live with my husband, blending our cultures & traditions one day at a time. Beyond adjusting to  a new country and settling into marriage, I’ve been exploring wellness, self-discovery & what it means to live with intention.

Through all of this, I have seen God’s hand over my life. Each transition; whether in my career, location, or relationships, has drawn me closer to Him. I’ve grown more grounded in my faith & now I’m learning to navigate each season with grace, intention, faith and gratitude.

a little about me,

why I started this blog,

In my free time while developing my culinary career, I realized another passion brewing in my heart and encouraged myself to dabble in the world of content creation. I explored different styles- recipe blogs, restaurant reviews, travel content, lifestyle vlogs & even fitness diaries- I tried it all.

Even though I enjoyed creating, I struggled for years to find my place on traditional platforms like Instagram & TikTok. I knew I had something to offer but a subconscious fear of being perceived, along with the fear of failure, held me back from fully embracing my voice. I found myself caught between wanting to create & feeling paralyzed by the pressure of algorithms, trends, & expectations.

So, I decided to carve out my own little world on the internet- a space where I can challenge my own fears, create from a place of purpose rather than pressure, explore all the different interests I have without the expectation to niche down & finally embrace the joy of sharing.

More than anything, I hope this blog becomes a place that inspires you to embrace your own creativity- to create, to share & to grow.

Because, we all have something to offer.
